Burnt Hickory Dance

Burnt Hickory Dance is designed to educate and equip students 3-18 how to worship the Lord and share the gospel through dance. “Let them praise His name with dancing.” Psalm 149:3
Burnt Hickory Dance Classes
Classes are offered for children aged three (by 9/1/24) through 12th grade. Beginning and experienced dancers are invited to register. Students are not required to be members of BHBC to participate.
BALLET: All BH Dance students are encouraged to enroll in a ballet technique class, designed to enhance the dancer's overall fundamentals. Ballet classes include recital choreography. NEW students in grades 3-12 are assigned a ballet class based on previous training and experience; please email
for class referrals.
JAZZ/HIP-HOP: For students interested in jazz or hip-hop, We combine the two classes to provide the best of both worlds! Jazz/Hip Hop classes are available for students in 1st through 12th grades and include recital choreography. Enrollment in ballet to take J/HH is not required but strongly recommended.
TAP: Grab your dancing shoes and feel the rhythm! Tap classes are available for students in 1st through 12th grades. As well as Tap/Ballet combo classes for our Beginner (K5) level students. These classes include recital choreography. Enrollment in ballet class is not required to take tap, but it is strongly recommended.
CONTEMPORARY/LYRICAL: Contemporary/Lyrical classes teach students more freedom and creativity in their movement. Through these classes, dancers will find more of a worship element through dance. Enrollment in ballet is strongly recommended.
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING: Strength and Conditioning is BHD's newest addition to the schedule. This class is designed to help strengthen the dancer's physical bodies to better develop their skills in other classes. The levels eligible to enroll in this class are Emerald, Sapphire, Amethyst, and Crystal. No other class enrollment is required.

TUITION PAYMENTS
While we are a church ministry, Burnt Hickory Music & Dance operates solely on the funds generated by tuition and fees, which provide the best instructors, equipment, and supplies. Therefore, tuition and other fees will be collected for specific services and products provided throughout the year. For Dance tuition rates, click HERE.
