Understanding Believer’s Baptism
“Believer’s Baptism” is by immersion after a person has repented and placed their faith in Christ.
Baptism illustrates outwardly the change that happens inside a new believer when they accept Christ as savior. Scripture teaches us that Christ died for our sins, He was buried, and then He rose again. When someone is baptized, it reflects the burial and resurrection as well as represents being washed clean from sins through Christ's sacrifice.
3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
We are a new person, and baptism is a way to celebrate and reflect what God has done for and through us, and we get to celebrate believers baptism on Sunday mornings during our worship services.
7 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
2 Corinthians 5:17
If you have accepted Christ as your savior and have not been baptized, then reach out to take the next step with us, talk to a pastor today, and be baptized!
